RESTAURANT

The coffee shop and restaurant is open from 1st March until mid December. From March until the end of October we are open from 9am until 5pm, seven days a week. During November and December we open from 10am until 4pm except Mondays when we are closed.

We offer a range breakfast dishes, scones (baked fresh every day), delicious cakes, sandwiches, hot snacks and full meals. There is always a specials board offering a range of tempting extra items including local dishes. We always have a range of vegetarian dishes available. To follow your meal we have a range of delicious home made sweets just to tempt you to forget the calorie count. 

Breakfast meals are served up until 11am. Lunches and hot meals are served between 12 and 3.45pm. In the afternoons we also offer our renowned Afternoon Tea of sandwiches, scones and cakes and our equally renowned Cream Teas plus our normal range of sandwiches, toasties, tea cakes, delicious home made cakes and tray bakes and of course the sweet cabinet is also still available. Sandwiches and toasties can be ordered up until 4.30pm

All our dishes are home made on the premises and all our delicious sweets, cakes, scones and biscuits are equally home made. As far as possible everything we make uses fresh locally produced ingredients.

Sunday Lunches
On Sundays we serve lunches between 12 and 2pm. There is always a choice of starters, at least two different roast meats plus a limited range of other dishes including at least one fish dish and a vegetarian dish, plus a range of hot and cold sweets. 

Our Sunday lunches are very popular so it is advisable to pre-book.

Our normal range of hot and cold snacks is not available between 12 and 2pm on a Sunday but you can still enjoy afternoon or cream teas or our delicious scones, cakes and sweets after 2pm.

Wednesday Senior Citizen Lunches
On Wednesdays we offer a special two course (main and sweet) for senior citizens from 12 noon until 1pm at £5 per person. Booking required.

Drinks
We serve tea, coffee and hot chocolate throughout the day. We also have cafetieres of Farrers Mountain Blend delicious ground coffee, coffee made with hot milk, Cappuccino and decaffeinated coffee. We carry an extensive range of specialist and flavoured teas. You can have your hot chocolate with cream on top or the ultimate luxury of cream and marsh mallows. 
We also have fresh milk and milk shakes available.

We have an extensive range of soft drinks including flavoured waters and unusual specialities like Lime and Lemongrass, Lime and Ginger and Cranberry and other specialist drinks like Fentimans Old Fashioned Ginger Beer or shandy and Lanchester Apple Juices.

We are licensed so, as long as you are ordering a meal, you can choose an alcoholic drink. We carry a small range of pre and post dinner drinks, a range of beers and Jacobs Creek red or white wine. Wine is available by the glass or by the bottle.

PS We do not accept credit or debit cards but will accept cheques. A charge of 80p is levied on cheques for less than £10.
